  1. I think this is how it goes - "If you have experience, then you'll know what a shitty person I am and I won't be able to convince (gaslight) you that this is what all relationships are like, because you will be able to compare me with your past. And of course I know I can't win because I'll never treat you with the love and respect you deserve."

  2. It was about 9 or 10 in the evening and I was heading home from a really bad date. It was a ten minutes walk from where I was to my home and I stopped by a red light and waited. It was in the middle of the week and on the way from my date to the red light I’ve met like one person, so there wasn’t a lot of people out. From nowhere I got a really bad feeling and I KNEW that someone was watching me. I turned around and there was a man right beside me, he stood just a bit to close. He saw that I’ve seen him an started talking about how nice the summer rain was. I ignored him and started walking, although the light still was red. He started walking to. I speeded up for a bit, so did he. My fight, flight or freeze immediately hit and from nowhere I stopped walking. He was caught off guard and took a few more steps before he stopped too. He asked me why I stopped and I almost yelled at him that I didn’t want to speak to him, that his behaviour is freaking me out and told him to keep walking. He started to argue and I yelled “just go”. He started walking slowly. I stood still, watching him as he walked. The feeling in my stomach didn’t leave, it actually was getting worse. He stopped by a bus stop and for a second I breathed out. He was waiting for the bus. Well.. just next to the bus stop was an alley, a really dark alley and behind it a dark parking lot.

  3. My heart literally skipped a few beats when I read the guy showed up again part. Glad you got away.

  4. I attended a wedding on Jan 1 that required this plus a negative rapid antigen test - not foolproof but an added layer of comfort! The bride and groom provided rapid tests to anyone who didn’t haven’t at home. They are hard to come by where we are.

  5. From all immunocompromised people, we thank such folks - for enabling us to attend weddings.

  6. If you share a picture of the outfit, I can give you ideas on how to go about getting it altered. I'm a designer btw.

  7. I have my own design label in India and I can assure that these prices don't even cover the stitching cost by well trained tailors. And a normal tailor cannot stitch pieces like these.

  8. Tell her that you'd love to meet him over a video call, of course along with your mom. Tell her how much you are looking forward to it etc etc.

  9. I moved out of my home after college. I lived 15 mins away from home with my friends. Since I was financially independent, there wasn't much my parents could do. And my current husband and I used to live together before we got married. Nobody cares enough about other people in my city to bother.

  10. If you are in a city with Looks Salon, try their pinkini wax. Almost painless and absolutely zero itching, irritation or pain afterwards. It gets normal almost instantly. Rica wax is terrible. I have tried all methods out there. Waxing gives best results, growth has reduced significantly over time. Trimming using a proper trimmer is the second best option. Do not shave.

  11. I don’t understand why people move to America for work, isn’t it already common knowledge that there’s no American Dream and that the work culture in the US is akin to a third world country’s? I’d be curious to hear the appeal of working in America rather than places like the UK.

  12. Hey! Don't bad mouth third world countries. We are better than America in some cases :D. I'm in India and 4-5 weeks is the norm (public holidays + sick leave + casual leave + earned leave). This is mandated by the government. A lot of people try to evade in smaller cities, especially where they pay in cash, but the company can end up in a lot of trouble in case an issue arises. And the labor court almost always sides with the employee. Paid maternity is 6 weeks I think.

  13. I wasn’t bad mouthing third world countries, I’m asking why would someone move from a third world country to a job market that’s similar to a third world country’s in terms of despondent rights for workers, only to pay more in rent and in goods? You might have a decent job in India, but the caste system there is ridiculous and you’re not in the majority.

  14. The good witch. It grows on you and it's a beautiful, relaxing show.

  15. Yayyy!! Congratulations. I will sleep very well tonight. It's awesome you took advice from Reddit and followed through. Reddit - 1. Cheapskate, Micromanaging Bit** - minus 1000

  16. He'll treat you exactly the way you let him treat you. Please make sure whoever you are with in your life gives you priority. It seems to me that he only gives importance to his work and his schedule, not yours. I'll turn 31 next month and the number of relationships I got out of in the last 15 years is staggering. I took shit from no one and I have always prioritized myself. When you think about spending absolutely each day of your life with a person, the perspective changes. I met the love of my life when I was 28 and we got married last year. He's an absolute gem of a person and I am glad I waited, instead of settling with some ass or where the chemistry is just not good enough.

  17. Second one. Definitely. And you certainly don't want creases on your dress - it's very irritating.

  18. It doesn't happen in India. Infact where I live, they do not even encourage the guy and the girl speaking to each other for long before the wedding. Very weird if you ask me.

  19. My father gave me a guy's number for an arranged marriage. One afternoon, I was bored and dropped him a message with the intention of fooling around a bit. We have been married for over a year now. We did live together for almost a year before getting married though. So, absolutely zero surprises after marriage. We left together to get married from the same room and came back together to the same bed. Lol. No change. Best decision ever. Thank god i get bored easily.

  20. This was in Delhi btw. I moved out after I graduated and lived 15 mins away from where my parents lived. Got married at 29.

  21. I never really played that much since my “friends” made me tell the most secretive truth or the most disgusting or the most stupid/embarrassing dare, but when it came their turn it would always be toned down compared to me. I never really hang out with them anymore because despite my big stature of 6 ft i am kind hearted and always got treated like crap, dare i say bullied.

  22. Shutter Island (2010). It rains through the entire thing.

  23. Simplest is to ask them to show you the products they have posted on social media over a video call. We have our own fashion label - @amaltascouture and we always show our products on video call to gain trust of our customers. Otherwise it becomes very difficult to stand out amongst people who are selling low quality stuff.

  24. Yes, its after tax savings. It will be a legit account transfer only . Only conern for me is increasing surcharge if i cross 2cr or 5cr slab. That's why I am planning to invest under my mother's name.

  25. Transfer in small amounts over a few days instead of transferring all at once. Keep it below 10L

  26. Also for the future you can take the picture of a designer outfit and take it to a local tailor in India who'll make it with WAY better quality for much cheaper

  27. Lol. No, that's not how it works unless you want to end up looking like a clown.

  28. idk what disastrous tailors you’re working with, but tailors in india have excellent quality because people by default get their clothes tailored

  29. Um. We are talking about designer lehengas and gowns here. Also, cheaper designer clothes or stores make pieces on order. I am not talking about readymade clothes.

  30. This will probably get buried. I'm like this and I have accepted this as a part of who I am. I get bored easily. Period. I pick up new hobbies every few days, weeks.

  31. For women, tank tops that show your bra strap. I’ve got in more than one argument about this on other subs. The people I would argue with could never understand that, no, I’m not saying showing a bra strap is obscene. I’m saying it used to be considered extremely sexual, so don’t be so surprised that an older person is arguing with you about it. What is considered acceptable changes over time. One example of something that young people think is totally unacceptable (at least the ones who post to reddit) but we are fine with is dating any of your friends’ exes. We saw nothing wrong with it, as long as there wasn’t any two timing.

  32. Lol. I remember this happening during my school days. 15 years ago. So much fun i had! Not exactly taboo, but yeah girls whispered. I was anyway tagged as a rebel - so i was expected to do such stuff.

  33. This is equal parts entertaining and depressing. Hun hit pretty close to rock bottom and instead of thinking it through after alienating friends and family decided to double down. “DoTerra is my life, my zen, my dream?” I can’t even imagine letting any job have this much power over me.

  34. No, but it is not a job. She is a business owner. #bossbabe
