  1. capital gains is a bit useless really, it's mostly focused of property and the new Brightline test might stop house flipping but is a bit painful for small time landlords and parents who just want to pass on a asset to their kids.

  2. I’ve just got a couple. One is called Pandemic. You are both fighting a virus that is taking over the world. (Can you imagine?!) the other is called Bag of dungeon. It’s a bit like DND but more casual and easy for beginners. I’ve really them both

  3. The flip of pandemic is plague Inc, you're virus/bacteria trying to infect the world. Not so co-op

  4. Most of genX still had a fair go in their early working lives, they're not as hated on because they didn't technically cause the problems but they did work within a failing system without really saying or doing anything about it.

  5. Problem with all these big franchise's, the creative team has either leave the company or long lost its passion. Lots of cool games from smaller are still coming out support them instead.

  6. A scientific study was required to determine that people, with more money, would choose better all round food options? Really?

  7. Boomers have been ruining things for decades. It's a slow burn.

  8. Pretty sure I posted this after a year trying to find a graduate position in my home country staring down a $70k student loan and the best offer on the table was less than welfare.

  9. You'll go to debt collection and it will be hard to sign up anywhere else, if you sign up for services but don't use them it doesn't matter you signed a legally binding terms of service..

  10. Ask them to live on a minimum wage budget and pay a average rent from it for like a month, they'll struggle even tho they've still got the luxurys of their current bracket I bet they'd still struggle.

  11. Isn't it like a $100 to register a company? for fun setup a shell company, list it on Google and a few other sites with a prepaid contact number. Record whatever she attempts, ????, Profit

  12. Wait till some crackhead throws soup in her face, or some Karen screams at her for an hour, or she's had a couple night shifts on toilet duty. write an article after grans done the job for a while and see how it's going.

  13. If you're a developer and your job stresses you out you're doing something wrong.

  14. Completely depends on what sub industry you land in. Product, r&d, saas usually pretty good jobs.

  15. The other options given here of using git to clone straight into the public directory or even better a auto deploy script from somewhere like GitHub is ideal. There's some learning to do but it's worthwhile in the long run.

  16. All these sexual identity pronouns, I don't care enough to learn them, people spend hours making them into complex combinations to self identify but if others around them can't remember them all it's offensive?

  17. Of the three? React. It's unopinionated, as opposed to angular; it has a huge ecosystem and great documentation (it's petty of me, but the ads on the vue documentation site put me off); and I prefer its templating language over vue's.

  18. I work with Vue is it's just fine, and has class decorators if you're into that sort of thing (I am)

  19. Screw startups as an intern, it's always a fruit loop who's hired a grad with no clue how to do anything and expects the grad to do everything, and somehow know everything inspite of being a grad.

  20. Truee. I have a mentor who is a freelancer and made the whole project from scratch(months before I joined). He's a great guy and I've learnt a lot from him, but since he's a freelancer, he works on other projects simultaneously and isn't always available.

  21. It's a scam of every small/startup company specially if it's non tech founder, I've been there several times early in my career and even spent time as a tech lead trying to make good grad programs.

  22. Lmfao “understand our military capability”

  23. Likely it means for the purposes of occupation which is our biggest threat if a major natural disaster happened (for example climate change making other countries uninhabitable) and or war broke out.

  24. Pretty sure this is one of those things where you let them fire her then with the help of a lawyer have them pay for the surgery and maybe a years salary. Definately get fired definitely talk to a lawyer.

  25. TransferWise definately the lowest fees, also can transfer to nzd at the last moment when the exchange is just right.

  26. Yes the government gives you free money and your employer gives you free extra money, people who opt out of kiwisaver are idiots 100% of the time.

  27. He's a twat of a man with some pretty bad ideas about the world. But he's relentless and does things by the book for the most part, that's why he he's so successful.

  28. Buying stock can be daunting but 1% in the bank is less than inflation which rose an average of 6% almost worldwide thanks covid. So technically he could lose money.

  29. Banks are only there to make money off you, they won't tell you how to make money.

  30. It's true, many have investment services but they're all pretty safe and low yield, still better than 1% I only recommend that service to safely get the gist for someone nervous about starting.
